What an amazing week Theresa and I had at our annual trip to Pondemonium in St Charles Il. Pondemonium is the largest gathering of of pond professionals. 2009 is the 10th anniversary of Pondemonium, the water garden industry's premiere business and networking event.
We attended classes and workshops, however the focus was on sustainable landscapes and rainwater harvesting. We participated in a neighborhood rehab project called the Extreme Green Community Makeover.
Some of the many projects in the Extreme Green Community Makeover like fountainscapes installed with the AquasBasin, an ecosystem pond, a Pondless Waterfall, and the RainXchange System with a patio.
We were involved with the construction of the pondless waterfall and when finished with that project we went a couple of streets over and worked on a couple of fountainscapes.
The week was a great experience to catch up with fellow pond owners and builders as well as learn new techniques. However the best part was yet to come. On Saturday evening we attended the annual Blow-Out Bash dinner, at this dinner the week is recapped with pictures and stories followed by an awards ceremony.

This year’s Certified Aquascape Contractor of the Year was award to Pondtastic Water Gardens. What an amazing honor! I am quoted as saying,
“Thanks to all who believe that Pondtastic Water Gardens is deserving of this title,” said Price upon receiving the award. “When we began building ponds I knew we wanted to become a Certified Aquascape Contractor (CAC) as soon as possible. We have had a long hard road just like many of you and I think we still have a long hard road ahead of us, but knowing that what we are doing down here in Florida is recognized by my fellow CACs means a lot. I am proud to be a member of this group and I consider this the highest honor in the pond industry.”
